Don't know if short stories qualify but if they do I suggest Q. Patrick's "Murder on New Year's Eve" which is a very entertaining tale, like everything they wrote.

I just want to say again how much I appreciate these lists. I went through my stacks and found two books ( Ziskin and Kathleen Taylor) in time to read them this coming weekend. I was lucky enough to find the Sample book at a local Dimples used book store here in Sacramento so I'm set for the weekend! Thanks
